What Can I Do To Save Hockey?

There are several things that you can do to save hockey below are just a few ideas:
SaveHockey.ca

1. Organize an event in your city for February 16th or the 18th. Events are being organized all over the globe on Feb. 16th. Register your event today or find out whether a save hockey game is already being organized in your area?

a. How to organize a game ?
i. Hockey events vary from city to city. The only consistent is that it is outside and that it resembles hockey in some way. Games are being played either on ice (if you have it) or in the same wet fashion we played in Montreal during the UN climate summit (we flooded a rink, and played in a few inches of water).

ii. Some groups are doing it to a script (see resources) while others will play a regular hockey game with speeches before hand and afterwards about climate change and the threat to our beloved winter sport. It is really up to you and what capacity you have.

iii. The players can be any caliber but outreach to league folks would be great.

iv. You need ? to register your event, put together two teams, find a place to play, send a media release (contact us for help), and publicize the event in your local community.

v. Any additional outreach to media, pro hockey players, blogs, or people in the community is tremendous.
