High Scoring Street Hockey

Wednesdays game is ON. Be there at 7pm tonight to bid farewell to Rado and Daniel as they both are leaving over the next few days.

Saturday we had a fine game with 3 subs to a side as Weston and Rob took on goalie duties. For some reason this game reverted back to the “shoot first, play defense later” mentality we used to see in the PSHL and we saw Many odd man rushes and breakaways. The dark team got off to a hot start (Maros scored on his first 3 shots of the game) to take a 6-3 first period lead.

The second period was more even as the white team managed a comeback to bring the score almost even at 10-9 (dark lead).

The score exploded in the 3rd period as the dark team went on a strong run (lead by Rado’s passing and stick handling) to take a 21-11 lead. However the white team mounted a comeback and the score was 23-18 when the lights went out.

Players of the game were:
1) Maros, who scored somewhere around 15 goals to lead the dark team.
2) Mark, who scored around 10 goals to lead the white team
3) Rado, who’s stick handling and passing broke the game wide open in the third period for the dark team.

Keep your stick on the ice,
- Tim
