PSHL 2007 Premiere

Saturday’s game is ON.  For those of you lucky enough to be in Tucson, be there at 7pm on Saturday for the first PSHL game of 2007.

Our 2006 grand finale lived up to expectations in a back and forth game which went late into the night.

The white team started off strong to take a 3-2 first period lead. The dark team took control in the second period and finished with a 6-5 lead. Then the dark team went on a binge to take a 12-6 lead in the third period.  We lost a few players along with the way and Bob Downs was trading to the white team, sparking a comeback to bring the score to 13-10 (still dark team lead).  Then Jason Spensley (in his last PSHL game) dug deep with a “gritty” goal in front of the net and then a minute later out of nowhere fired a high shot past the blocker of Duke and into the top right corner to cap off a 15-10 victory.

This may of been the best PSHL game I’ve ever been a part of (even though I was on the losing side).  Great game and thank you to everyone who made it out.

Player of the game goes to Spensley, who’s 7 goals showed that Canadiens really know how to go out on top.

Honorable mention goes to Weston (who was no fun to play against in the 3rd period as he stopped everything), and Jason C. (who despite not playing in 3 months, ran the entire time and was a force to be reckoned with everywhere on the court).
